Debbie’s interest in health led to her completing a degree in Health Studies. Postgraduate studies followed leading to a seventeen year career in social work and counselling. It was whilst working in a hospice that her interest in complementary therapies developed, particularly in reflexology. Debbie witnessed the beneficial effects treatment had upon patients and their close family members. This evidenced to her that a holistic approach rather than a symptomatic approach to treatment was the best way to care for people.
Debbie decided to train as a reflexologist and graduated from Sole Therapies training school in Cheltenham. Debbie works as a clinical and therapeutic reflexologist from a studio within her home in Badsey, a village near Evesham. The studio affords clients privacy and peace.
Below is a short clip produced by the Association of Reflexologists (AoR) and helps to provide a brief overview of reflexology.
Debbie is committed to providing a treatment which is specific to each client’s needs. Working with the whole person rather than just addressing their presenting symptoms. After a treatment many clients report feeling very relaxed. Debbie is a firm believer that a quietened mind and a relaxed body promotes the body’s natural healing process.
If you are looking for support for a specific health issue or just needing to recharge Debbie can offer you a treatment tailored to your needs.
As a member of the Association of Reflexologists, Debbie is governed by their strict codes of practice and fully insured.
The Menopause is a natural transition in the female reproductive system. Menopause occurs as the ovaries stop maturing eggs and producing oestrogen and progesterone. Eight out of ten women in the U.K will experience some symptoms. Symptoms include:
Each woman is an individual, therefore, whilst women may share common menopausal symptoms their experience of them is unique.
How Can Reflexology Support You Through Your Menopause?
Reflexology has been found to be effective in helping women manage both the physical and emotional symptoms of the menopause. Research has shown that:
“Chronically elevated cortisol (stress hormone) increases the likelihood of severe menopausal symptoms.”
Cagnacci et al, Menopause, 18, 3, 273-8
Reflexology aids relaxation which is the perfect antidote to stress. Reflexology can help with hormonal imbalances and restore a sense of equilibrium to the body and mind.
I have undertaken specialist reflexology training to further enable me to support women through their menopause. I work holistically and I am able to offer advice on additional ways to manage menopausal symptoms.
Specialised training completed with Dr. Peter Mackereth in order to adapt reflexology to help and support people living with cancer.
Reflexology cannot cure cancer or replace medical treatments, however, it may provide support and help manage certain symptoms and side effects associated with cancer.
^Many health insurance companies now include Reflexology in the range of treatments they cover, including: Bupa; Paycare; Health Shield and Sovereign.

“I started seeing Debbie at the end of August 2022 after being recommended by one of my clients. It was a time in my life (going through Menopause) where I felt my body needed extra help to sort itself out, and I am so glad I went. I have been going to have regular treatments ever since and will continue to do so, as Debbie has become an essential part of my well-being and self care. Debbie has got a beautiful, quiet, calm and restful treatment room in her home and puts you at ease as soon as you walk through the door with her kind, warm and friendly persona. Debbie is very professional and has genuine concern and empathy and makes certain that with her knowledge and expertise of reflexology, the treatment she carries out is effective to your needs. I cannot recommend her enough. Thank-you Debbie”
